Bay Park Real Estate

Bay Park is primarily made of single family homes for sale, though some condos and townhomes can be found.  This San Diego neighborhood is bounded by Mission Bay Park on the west, Bay Ho and Balboa Avenue to the north, Linda Vista to the east, and Tecolote Canyon Park to the east and south.  Bay Park was originally developed in the 1950's and 1960's and often times offer spectacular views of Misson Bay and the Pacific Ocean.  The community is built on a hillside sloping up from west to east away from the 5 Freeway.  This San Diego neighborhood is well thought of and family friendly, yet remains close to the beach.

Bay Park Overview

Bay Park is so named due to the proximity to Mission Bay Park, the largest man made water-based park in the United States.  Fiesta Island, the largest feature within the park, is easily accessible via Sea World drive and is a 24/7 off leash dog area.  Additionally, Fiesta Island is a popular cycling and running area, and plays host to the OMBAC Over the Line World Championships each July.  Bay Park shares both the 92110 and 92117 zip codes. 

The neighborhood is nearby many popular attractions, including Sea World, Tecolote Golf Course, Riverwalk Golf Course, and Clairemont Village Shopping Center.  Also nearby are the hiking trails which run throughout Tecolote Canyon Park.  

Popular community restaurants include The High Dive, Offshore Tavern and Grill, and the outstanding Italian themed Baci Restaurante.  Also, one of San Diego's most popular purveyors of beef is here, the iconic Seisel's Old Fashioned Meats and Deli.  Though the nieghborhood can be hilly in places, many homes are within a walk of these restaurants, making for a great alternative to the busier beach areas, such as Mission Beach or Pacific Beach.

Bay Park Schools

Bay Park schools are a part of the larger San Diego Unified School District.  Bay Park Elementary School serves grades K-5, Marston Middle School serves grades 6-8, and Clairemont High School serves grades 9-12.  The San Diego Cooperative Charter School is also available for area students.
